Premier Guarantee continues along its path to a strong recovery with another successful quarter reported. The company kick-started 2021 with a five-year high and combined with a healthy Q2, the latest figures reveal our highest ever first half-year period1. This is a 100% increase in comparison to the first half of 2020.
Despite setbacks faced by the industry due to the dual impact of the pandemic and Brexit, the outlook remains positive for housebuilding. According to the government, close to 50,000 new homes were built in the first quarter of this year2 – the highest figure in over 20 years. Reflecting these encouraging stats, Premier Guarantee itself has seen an 80% increase in homes registered compared to the first half of 2020. Last year, Britain’s economy experienced its biggest annual decline in an astounding 300 years3, but these figures released by the government show the resilience of the housing and construction industry and the result of measures taken to keep sites open as much as possible during the pandemic.
And while it was necessary for the sector to keep on building, Premier Guarantee ensured that it offered a consistent level of service during the pandemic with surveyors working on site to help developers continue to deliver much-needed homes across the country.
Alex Lyons, Premier Guarantee’s Sales Director, had this to say about the results:
“I am extremely proud of our half-year results, despite the challenges that have faced our industry we have taken the opportunity to learn, grow and improve our business. The figures are a true testament to the resilience and dedication of our team and the support that they offered our clients during the toughest of circumstances. I am delighted to be on track to achieve our full year results.”
